Begin at Yakushi-ji, one of Japan’s most celebrated temples, known for its elegant East Pagoda and deep connection to healing and Buddhist faith. Continue to Toshodai-ji, founded by the monk Ganjin, where spacious wooden halls and important sculptures reflect the transmission of Buddhist learning and monastic culture to Japan.
